Art is powerful. It has the ability to heal. I’m proof of that. After my husband died art saved me by giving me an outlet for my grief and helped me see beauty in the world again. That restorative experience was what made me want to become an artist full-time and painting abstract artworks has gotten me through many difficult experiences since.
I also teach painting and I’ve seen how art has helped my students struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and other emotional issues. The learning process itself can be quite uplifting and therapeutic. Shifting your focus to the paint on the canvas enables you to leave your daily challenges behind, and simply be in the moment with your creation. And the students are often pleasantly surprised by what they make giving them newfound confidence in their ability.

Going Even Further
This is why I have partnered with B1G1 to help provide these therapeutic services to individuals who wouldn’t receive them otherwise. Through B1G1, for each large painting I sell I will donate a portion of my proceeds to support visual art lessons for a child, a confidence-building self-help group for women and children, and a health-awareness program for disadvantaged women.
I truly appreciate your support and helping me share the healing power of art with the world.
