Clara Berta is a Los Angeles-based Modern Abstract painter who lives and works in the heart of the newly revitalized Downtown Los Angeles. BertaArt Studio Gallery is listed on the Downtown LA Art Walk map and website, and is a popular stop on the Second Thursday Downtown LA Art Walk. She is a prolific contemporary female painter with a large body of original abstract art work that she creates and shows in her studio gallery. A passionate and energetic artist, her exhibit changes every month, as she adds to and rotates her extensive inventory. Inspired by the fast pace and ever-changing landscape of Downtown Los Angeles, her abstract mixed media paintings have recently become more vibrant, alive with movement, and even more textural.
Clara Berta’s acrylic and mixed-media artworks blend texture and color to create harmony, mystery and depth on the painted surface. Many of the resulting shapes are irregular, vague, incomplete, overlapped, and transformed, free of traditional associations such as postmodern Abstract Expressionism or Conceptualism. Her richly layered artworks have been exhibited across the United States and collected worldwide.
Clara Berta creates multiple styles and color stories in her original artwork, including sophisticated neutrals, energizing brights, cool black and white art, and calming blue paintings that can balance your home and your mood. The BertaArt Studio Gallery has oversize paintings for larger homes with high ceilings or lofts, or small works for smaller apartments, or to cluster salon-style.
“I enjoy experimenting with color and technique to create different looks and feelings in my work. The various series each have a different personality, and will resonate with people in different ways. I am thankful I can create enough variety to appeal to many types of collectors, with paintings suitable for diverse environments. I also love doing custom work or commissioned paintings. Please contact me directly or send me an email with your specifics and color ideas for your home or office environment.”
